CASE STUDIES
Pardon Paris is a luxury tattoo studio located in a penthouse on Munich’s prestigious Maximilianstraße, home to a curated collective of resident and guest artists. From April 2024 to July 2025, Darkmode Studios served as the studio’s dedicated Creative Director, developing high-end visual content for both the Pardon Paris brand and its individual artists. Every production was crafted to match each artist’s unique aesthetic while maintaining a consistent, premium brand identity across all channels.
challenges & goals
Our main objective was to create high-end social content for Instagram and TikTok — both for Pardon Paris as a brand and for the individual artist accounts. The goal was to drive account growth, elevate the brand’s positioning, and establish Pardon Paris as a leader in the luxury tattoo space.
One unique challenge was the studio’s perception: due to its exclusive penthouse location and world-class artists, Pardon Paris risked appearing intimidating or unapproachable to potential clients. Our task was not only to showcase the artistry and premium experience but also to make the brand feel more accessible, ultimately driving more bookings and stronger client relationships.

To strengthen Pardon Paris’ positioning as a leading luxury tattoo brand, we focused on producing cinematic, premium-quality content that elevated the studio’s image while driving measurable growth across Instagram and TikTok. By combining high-end visuals with innovative, social-first formats, we were able to both solidify the studio’s reputation and make the brand more approachable and relatable. To address the approachability challenge, we introduced new, personality-driven formats:
“Meet Your Artist” – short-form interviews allowing followers to connect with the artists on a personal level.
“What’s the Motive” – quick storytelling videos where artists explain the meaning behind tattoo designs.
“Studio Vibes” & Behind-the-Scenes Tours – giving audiences an intimate look into the creative process and atmosphere at Pardon Paris.
This combination of cinematic production quality, innovative social formats, and human-centered storytelling positioned Pardon Paris as both exclusive and relatable, driving stronger engagement, follower growth, and ultimately more booking inquiries.

VEROTEREA
As Resident Artist at Pardon Paris, Veroterea specializes in conceptual mini realism.
Darkmode Studios defined a cross-format color system to keep photos and reels visually consistent, and introduced a recurring music thread to tie her content together. Her breakthrough was a series of customer interviews paired with a tightly curated feed — human, intimate, and unmistakably premium. The result: significant growth and months-out bookings.

@Linezz___ is also a resident artist at Pardon Paris and specialzies in mixed graphic tattoos. For him, we prioritized a distinct profile aesthetic over traditional tattoo reels. Instead of the usual stencil → process → final shot common in tattoo content, we focused on carousel posts that mixed tattoo shots, needle details, and candid client moments. His feed became cohesive, cinematic, and unmistakably his.
We achieved his big social media breakthrough with a mixture of cinematic travel vlogs showing him tattooing at places like Coachella in Los Angeles or Aruba, and finally the tattoo short films we shot in a horizontal format, which is very uncommon for Instagram.

YE Munich is a Munich-based event series that blends fashion, community, and Afro House culture into a distinctive lifestyle experience. Founded in early 2024, YE quickly became one of the most talked-about brands in Munich’s nightlife scene. Our collaboration began with their first international event in Marbella, marking the start of an ongoing partnership that spans everything from promo campaigns and highlight reels to full-scale aftermovies and multicam DJ sets.

YE’s ambition was to build a recognizable, premium event brand — one that sells out venues, attracts collaborations, and stands out in a crowded scene. The challenges lay in maintaining a fresh, cinematic visual identity across recurring formats, managing large-scale productions with multiple cameras and teams, and delivering ultra-fast turnarounds — often going live with content the day after each event.
OUR APPROACH
We focused on story-driven promotional reels that set the tone for each event — sometimes funny, sometimes emotional, sometimes mysterious. The goal was to create a cinematic visual language that didn’t exist in Munich’s party scene before. Through bold color grading, crisp visuals, and narrative rhythm, we helped position YE as a brand that instantly stands out in every feed.
